Awesome article. I have met a couple of transgender people in Istanbul. Their struggle is very hard and they can be killed if their families know about their sexual orientation as it is seen as shaming the family.

I taught a transgender kid and he/she was lovely. Very unsure. One day a boy the next a girl. They are living each day finding him/herself and preparing for the future.
