Defiance Is The Name

A free verse poem about a game to play with bullies.

Defiance is the name,
humiliation is the game
I like to play, with ‘Bully’
whenever need be.

Sometimes it’s up to me,
but, it’s mostly up to you.
All depends on how I feel
or how you treat me, see.

Tell me what to do,
or what to think.

- Be unkind
- Be disrespectful
- Be bully bossy you

And I’m game, to play, my game with you.
What you see boy, or say — is what you get
when I play my game with you — bully boy.

I’m friendly, not weak
easy to confuse I know.
I’m a master at my game
But I’ll only play when you

of power play with me.
