The recipe below is a tangy barbeque basting sauce made with only three ingredients and a spice of your choice.

It is a sweet and tangy barbecue basting sauce due to the use of apricot jam. The sauce is enough for 3–4 lamb or pork chops.

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons of apricot jam
3 tablespoons of olive oil
2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
Spice of your choice
Salt and pepper to taste

Spice ideas:

You can use a combination of or one spice that tingles your taste buds. Here are a couple of ideas: harissa spice, chili flakes, cayenne pepper, Italian spice, barbeque spice, garlic flakes, and ginger.

Process:

Mix all the ingredients together. Brush the basting sauce on either side of the chops a couple of times whilst barbequing or frying.

I air-fried the lamb chops in the main photo basting them with the sauce regularly during the cooking process.
