Flower Forest
Street art uplifts an urban forest and passers by: A Tanka Poem.
Dreary dour urban scene.
Giant bright painted flowers
— graffiti street art,
arty ascension — concept
uplifts humans spirits too.
The “Graffiti & Street Art: April Prompt” from Mary Chang Story Writer posted at her publication Six Word Photo Story Challenge inspired me to look at street art differently and appreciate it more. Thank you, Mary.
The painted flower mural in the photo above is a project by Studio68. The art studio’s idea is to uplift areas with urban decay in Mannheim, Germany, by painting impressive beautiful murals across the city.
The art studio has various projects which involve citizens, including children, painting graffiti murals to express their creativity and transform dreary-looking neighborhoods at the same time.
There were awesome six word photo stories posted during April’s monthly challenge. If you are interested to view some of the street art stories you can click on the link below to access a summary.
This story was inspired by: A-Word-A-Day prompts for May 2022 — Day 26 (Ascension) published in Promptly Written. Thanks, Christine, and Ravyne.
