Do you like cheesy snacks that are low-carb or keto-friendly?

These cheese balls will tickle your low-carb taste buds. They are crispy on the outside with a golden color and a gooey, melty center.

Whether you’re following a low-carb or keto-friendly lifestyle or looking for a scrumptious snack, they might become your new fried cheese addiction.

Ingredients:

90 grams of grated Cheddar cheese
2 teaspoons of grated Parmesan cheese
2 egg whites
0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper or dried Italian herbs (optional)

Process:

  1. Whip the egg whites (ensure they are at room temperature) till fluffy peaks form.
  2. Mix the cheeses in a separate bowl with the spices if used.
  3. Add the whipped egg whites to the cheese mixture. Gently fold it in till a ‘dough’ forms.
  4. Heat 500 milliliters of vegetable oil in a thick bottom skillet.
  5. Form a small cheese ball (3–4 cm in diameter). Lower it gently with a tablespoon into the heated oil one cheese ball at a time. Fry till golden brown and remove from the oil.
  6. Place the fried cheese balls on kitchen paper to absorb access oil.

Serve the cheese balls with a leafy side salad and your favorite dip as a snack or a light meal.
