Granite Scars

Reminders of deceit and grace.

A bee ballet —
buzzing and whirring.
A dark purple lily song.
An ode to Nightrider’s
black-purple fading smell.

Blowfly cloying darkness …
dark scarred granite rock
and black-purple shadow patches.
Grey tears leaking from the earth
reminders of deceit —

Tear-stained streams,
bubbling from Earth’s sarcophagus
whispering tales of sorrow and rebirth.
Silver granite sparks and dark crusades,
reminders of hope, of what was, of grace —

Granite’s scars,
testament of strength,
and stories etched in time,
— a snaky painful pitiful path.
In pain, there’s purple beauty untamed.

Shadow patchy silver flashes—
— tales of resilience —
Defying deception, against all odds.
Though deceit may cast its wicked spell,
granite stands tall, unyielding, and well.
