Harry The Teddy Bear Shares Quotes He Likes

This week I’m gonna quote my human dad Jay.

“Don’t judge people when you did not walk in their shoes. Maybe they need a bit of kindness to brighten up their day.” — Dad Jay

As you know from his poems on Unemployment, Jay became unemployed in September last year. It rocked dad’s world and his self-esteem dipped. Some of his friends jokingly said, “Ah, the life of the unemployed. One can sleep late and don’t do anything.”

Dad didn’t like people joking about his unemployment. We know they didn’t mean it in a horrible way, but it did sting a bit. My teddy heart bled for dad.

He mentioned to me on many occasions, “don’t joke at other people’s misfortunes till you have walked in their shoes.”

At the beginning of dad’s unemployment journey, we struggled a lot. We had to move apartments as dad was worried that he will not survive on his limited funds. We rented a room in a shared apartment and cut down on our expenses.

Now it is going better. Dad managed his stress and kept us alive with the social benefits he receives.

So remember to be kind to someone today. You never know you might just make their day! — Harry the teddy bear.
