I grew up as a single child on a farm. My siblings are at least 20 years older than I am. Attending a high school in the city I did not have much in common with the cool city kids. I found it difficult to socialize with them. I can therefore imagine how difficult your journey was. You learned a lot about interaction and who your friends are. Thanks for sharing this personal story with us. It helps me to understand some of the school kids I teach that are on the autism spectrum.
