I liked your story. Many of the elders are a wealth of information one can tap into. It sparked memories of my own genealogical search. My grandfather was from Wales and passed away 4 years after my mom was born. Unfortunately, I do not have any information about him as my mom was too young. I wish I could know more about his life and why he emigrated to South Africa.
