It is amazing how we as humans try to make life better at our own expense. We need to learn we are precious, and unique and should be loved for who we are. You have come a long way since your childhood. I am glad you are putting yourself first.

I did the same till I was about 40 years old. Then I decided if people don't like me they don't deserve me.
