Memories In Time
That is all that remains.
Blue moonlight are luminous fireflies
shimmering in the penetrating darkness.
Tall tree puppet shadows, waltz slowly
across the cold faded peeling walls.
Squatting alone in my bedroom cell,
a way to avoid contact with the world.
Memories time ripples against the wall.
Memories are fading spiraling specters —
frozen photos in time’s shifting sands.
Massaging temples, to ease the throbbing pain.
Memories, a slow caravan across a lonely desert.
All that remains are shifting sand mirages in time
of good old times we danced on life and love’s playground.
