My sons would only eat my mom's yellow rice with raisins, even if I made it exactly the same. Hers always tasted better.

I make my potato salad using a mix of condensed milk, mustard powder, sour cream and mayonnaise. I add chopped parsley too. I will post the recipe sometime. The key is to pour the sauce over the warm potatoes as you mentioned.
