Seven Easy Ways To Be More Health Conscious

Small changes help to achieve the dream goal.

We all know how hard it is to commit to making long-term healthy lifestyle changes. Too often, we set unrealistic goals with no plan of action.

And before we know it we stray back into our unhealthy old habits.

Below are 7 manageable and practical ways to get started:

  1. Set realistic achievable goals. Break them up into shorter goals toward achieving that big dream goal.
  2. Eat more fruits and vegetables. They are packed with essential minerals and vitamins.
  3. Cut back on sugary and processed foods. They raise blood sugars and usually do not contain beneficial nutrients, just empty calories.
  4. Drink more water. It helps to stay hydrated and maintain the body’s fluid balance.
  5. Exercise more regularly. Do an activity you like, for example, a 15–30 minute daily walk, yoga, Tai chi, or dancing while cleaning the house. If you have mobility issues a seated aerobic video workout works well.
  6. Spend more time outdoors in nature doing an activity you like. It helps to restore balance and relax you.
  7. Get enough sleep. The body needs to recharge from our daily demands.
