Two Halves of a Whole

Can you hear my heart’s serenade song?

Your heart, and mine,
two halves of a whole.
for me, and you?

My heart is yours
— filled with love.
White rose, red passion flowing.

Thermal reaction.
A sing-song vroom
tap dancing message
in a bony cage, from me to you.

When I touch you,
can you hear its serenade song?
can you feel its passionate drumming?
can you see its thud-thud sing song pulse in my neck?

When I touch you,
do you sense eternal love?
Yes, you can, I feel and see,
your heart’s reply, in your eyes.
You’re scared, and so am I!

Your heart, and mine,
two halves of a whole.
for me, and you?
