Using Condensed Milk in Cooking and Baking
A couple of ideas on what to do with leftover condensed milk.

Do you have leftover condensed milk, but don’t know what to do or bake with it? This post is in response to a question from Karen Curtis, on my Creamy Potato Salad recipe.
Here are a couple of ideas:
- Fudge: You can make chocolate fudge with it in the microwave.
- Marshmallow tart: Mix condensed milk with the juice of half a lemon till it thickens. Dissolve lemon jelly (Jell-O) in a cup of boiling water. Let cool. Mix with condensed milk mixture. Break pieces of your favorite cookies into a glass dish. Add chopped nuts and marshmallow pieces. Mix. Add condensed milk mixture. Mix well. Let set in the fridge.
- Baked lemon tart: Mix condensed milk with the juice of half a lemon till it thickens. Whip half of a cup of cream to the soft peak stage and fold into the condensed milk mixture. Add one egg. Whip. Pour into a store-bought pie crust. Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes or till set. Let cool. Decorate with grated lemon peel and whipped cream.
- Salad sauce: Mix condensed milk with lemon juice till it thickens. Add a dash of mustard, salt, and pepper. Cook dried fruits in a cup of…
