When I moved to the UK, I was surprised when a guy asked me "Do you have a fag mate?" My immediate thought was that I somehow seem to appear like a pimp :)

My reaction was, "huh?" Luckily, I did not mention what was on my mind. He pointed to the ciggie I was smoking and my brain cells registered what he was looking for.
