Whispering Wind

The wind in the forest has a message for me — a free verse poem

Walking
in the forest today
tree branches
boogying blissfully
in a gentle gusty
— cleansing wind.

Humanity’s
humming notorious noise —

Silence,
loudly leaking
— into me.
A wave washing,
draining my sorrows away.

Birds chirping,
singing-screaming,
— with joy.
Playing hide and seek
in the forest canopy.

A burst of wind
play-touches leaves
Darting daintily away
saying follow me,
— let’s play.

The wind whispered
to me, you are free,
— just like me!
