Part 2: Decisions impact your life
It was a ghastly nightmare-filled evening. I couldn’t fall asleep and twisted and turned the whole night.
When I fell asleep, I was chased across the house by an unknown masked man and a Godfather with a black pinstripe suit and a white and black trilby hat. They dragged me to the ocean, placed me into a big weighted hessian back, and chucked me from the pier into the sea.
At five o’clock I dragged myself out of bed and decided to go walk on the beach. I needed to think things over.
The ocean waves tap-tap the crystal beach sand gently in a rolling motion. The morning breeze is calming my frayed nerves… I’m upset by Pierre’s death. Very upset. He was my fiance — correction, my ex-fiance.
I’m flabbergasted to find out that his father was a Mafia boss. How could he hide that from me? I always thought Uncle Vinnie was a kind old gentleman with a great sense of humor in his sparkly blue eyes.
I hadn’t seen Pierre since he departed from my life a little bit more than three months ago. I thought about him a lot. I hated him a lot for leaving me. I still love him. How can people think I killed him? I love him. Startled by this sudden thought and the use of the present…
