You’re A Star

With great power — why judge yourself based on others’ opinions?

Whirring-stirring;
negative noises in one’s head
— little well-oiled cogs turning around.

Motor motions;
churning up negative thoughts and emotions
— silly whispers whirling about from everyone.

Opinions;
and smoke screens swirling
— confusion controlling you: “do this,” “don’t do this,” “do that instead.”

Why judge,
yourself against others’ smashmouth standards, and advice?

Remember you,
are not defined by others’ expectations and opinions of you.

You are unique;
worthy of so much more than other people’s negative opinions.

Everyone,
has their own experiences, skill sets, talents, and strengths.

Listen to advice;
reflect, analyze, evaluate
— take onboard what you know will help you achieve your goals?
